I recently rekindled my childhood dream to be a mixed-media artist and share my art with the world. In November 2016, I started attending an intergenerational art class taught by Art Transforms, Inc. which set my creative inner child FREE!
My artwork has been exhibited at Rochdale Village Community Center, Jamaica Center for Arts, Learning in a Social Justice Art Show and several Southeastern Queens Park Association (SQPA) Annual Art Exhibitions. I am currently creating collection of home décor vases with African prints, and mixed media artworks featured in the studio catalog.
In my other life, extensive professional career spans over twenty years with experience in program development, public relations, marketing, publishing, event management and community service. I compiled and published four books that have become Bestsellers entitled, Our Stories, Our Voices: Black Men Speak Their Truth; Delayed But Not Denied 1: 20 Stories about Life and Resiliency; Delayed But Not Denied 2: Real Stories about Hope, Faith and Triumph and Delayed But Not Denied Book 3: Real People Sharing Stories About Healing and Growth. These books allowed over sixty writers to become published Co-Authors.
I am the proud Mother of two beautiful daughters and three wonderful grandchildren residing in Jamaica, NY.
I believe, “It takes teamwork to make a dream work!”
